YAV MAGAZINE IS HERE

YAV Magazine is finally here! Please visit our new website: www.yavmagazine.com  for information on YAV Magazine and our first issue African Renaissance. YAV Magazine will feature politics, arts, culture, and stories about inspiring African youth worldwide. We want to highlight real stories that will inspire young African people everywhere to continue to strive for and achieve their goals. The magazine will be free to the public and will be distributed on three continents as well as be available online starting March 31, 2012.  Details about distribution will be available online March 25, and will include distribution locations and how to download our issue online.  We are also proud of YAV Scholarship Initiative for youth in Africa, which will award three Africa youth scholarships this year. 

SPECIAL SNEAK PEEK
YAV Magazine will be hosting Visionaries Brunch and Preview of the First Issue: African Renaissance events in three US cities starting on March 18, in New York City. We are officially extending open invitations to each event for our readers to get a special glimpse at our first issue. The special YAV Magazine Visionaries Brunch and Preview of the First Issue: African Renaissance events will be an opportunity for networking and will be featured in our second issue as well as on our website and blog.

Please RSVP for this event at: bgnbpro@gmail.com and list your name and affiliation. This event is free but brunch provided by Joloff Restaurant will range from $10-15 per person. Light appetizers and teas/drinks are also available ranging from $2-6 per person.

Lastly, do you want to join our team? YAV Magazine has internships starting in April 2012 with positions in graphic design, advertising, photography, editorial, and social media. Interns can receive school credit, stipends, and references for their time.  YAV Magazine will also be hiring starting in May 2012, for positions of Copy Editor and Features Editor.  If you are interested or know anyone that maybe interested please have them email YAV Magazine at bgnbpro@gmail.com for further information.
